Valentine Barrettes

I made these cute barrettes for the girls to wear for Valentine's Day. You could make several in a small amount of time!

Supplies:
pinch alligator clip
3/8" grosgrain ribbon
Extras: hot glue, needle, and thread

1. Cover the clip with ribbon. Be sure to get the top inside edge.









Cut ribbon into 3 pieces, 4 1/2", 5", & 5 1/2". Fold the longest piece in half. Fold the next size piece in half and place the next piece on top. Repeat with the shortest piece. Sew through all layers of ribbon. (red thread used for picture purposes)

Take the two shortest pieces and glue one end to the other sideways to form a point at the end.









Repeat with medium size pieces. Glue medium pointed end to small pointed end. Do the same process with the longest end.








Glue the top center of the heart to the open end of the barrette. Glue the point end of the heart to the "pinch" part of the barrette.
