Chocolate Chip Cookies

I like this recipe for chocolate chip cookies because the cookies tend to be puffy and do not spread out thin. These cookies have a soft, chewy center. And yes, these are the cookies I used in the Review of Dollar Tree Products post.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

¾ c. sugar
¾ c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 sticks butter, softened*
1 egg
2 ¼ c. A.P. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
12 oz. chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugars together. Add egg. Add flour and soda. Using a spoon, stir in chocolate chips. Wrap cookie dough in plastic wrap (forming a ball) and refrigerate for several hours (or overnight). Drop by rounded Tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake @ 375* for 9 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies

*I never use "real butter" unless the recipe calls for no substitutions. I like Blue Bonnet to cook with.
